I am told the likelihood of sky leakage went back up to 90% during yesterday only to plummet to 60% this morning. Keep praying or doing whatever you have been doing!
The other MAIN information to impart today is about Parking.
At the church:
Ideally we want to discourage parking along Salters Lane South (the narrow road running alongside the church from the mini roundabout) as it causes significant congestion.
Instead, you have three options-
- at the back of the church hall- turn into the entrance opposite the church just up Salters Lane South from the mini roundabout. There is space for c.12 cars and some disabled bays in front of the hall. If it’s full, there will be a sign at the entrance. Go a little further up Salters Lane and turn round. Then try-
- on Haughton Green itself. Go across the mini roundabout and you’re on ‘the Green’. Find a space anywhere along the Green.
- there is also plenty of room below the church on Haughton Road, either by the lower gate or in the parking area by the memorial garden (on your left directly before the church as you are driving out from the town centre).
At Middleton Lodge:
When approaching from Darlington (via Barton) make sure you go in the entrance marked ‘Middleton Lodge Main House’. There are others before it that take you to the CoachHouse and are a longer, more confusing route. Go straight up the drive to the front of the House. With the House on your left, there is a road at around ‘2 o’clock’. The main car park is down there. Please keep the front of the House clear for photographs- as your continued sunshine dances and prayers will be answered 😊
